#LiveYourColor with Ana Tiganasu of The Dress Sense

Updated: Sep 25, 2018

We are happy to finally collaborate with Ana Tiganasu! Originally from Moldova, she lives in Italy and her blog, The Dress Sense, is full of fashion, travel and beauty. What I like most about her style is a well-balanced blend of classiness and a sense of closeness.

Please enjoy Ana’s live your color interview featuring Tabbisocks’ Heart Sheer Tights and American Star Socks.

1. Where did you grow up and how did it shape who you are today?

I was born in a small village in the south of Rep. Moldova and at the age of ten, I moved to Italy with my mom.

I'm happy that I lived in these two different worlds. One humble but rich of life where you have to work the earth and take care of the animals, and the other "rich", full of comfort but immersed in the city jungle. This way I learned to appreciate the true value of things, be humble and respectful.

2. Why did you decide to start your own blog?

I wanted to share my passions, my creativity and my photos on a platform that was not just a social network like facebook. And since many liked my outfits and asked me where I bought them, I decided to create The Dress Sense.

3. What do you like the most about creating your blog articles? I like to recreate the ideas or images in my head, in fact I always choose the outfits and the locations very carefully, nothing is left to chance.

4. What do you like to do for recreation?

During my spare time I love to take care of myself; take care of my hands for example, in fact I think I'm obsessed!

I love a good jogging session, or just releasing my inner artist by coloring books :D

6. What is your favorite season?

The spring and early summer are my favourites, the mild weather, the days that stretch, the flowers and the first ice cream after a long and cold winter.

7. What is your favorite cultural festival in Italy?

There are lots of good festivals in Italy but i like 2 events in particular.

The first is "La Notte dei Musei" The Nights in Museums, when nearly all the italian museums are open during the night. I love walking in the middle of all those beautiful artworks, the moonlight emphasizes their beauty.

The second is Lucca Comics & Games, the name speaks for itself. The greatest festival of comics, animation, illustration and games in Italy. I've always loved comics, in fact I still remember the first time I bought a manga, I believe it was Nana.

8. How many countries have you visited in Europe so far and which area did you enjoy the most?

For now I've visited 7 European countries, some more than 2 times. Every country has given beautiful memories, but if I have to choose which area I loved the most I would say Romania. I visited it 3 years ago and it was above all my expectations, I liked the castles, the landscapes, the endless activities available and above all the food. (My boyfriend aka my photographer is from Brasov, Romania.)

9. What is your favorite quote to live by?

"Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it's simply means that you have decided to look beyond the imperfections"

10. What does "#LiveYourColor" mean to you?

"Live your color" for me means being bold and expressing your personality through colors and clothing without the fear of trying new styles, a new haircut or simply a more eccentric accessory.
