1. Where did you grow up and how did it shape who you are today?

I grew up in Richmond, VA and have lived there my entire life.  When I was younger, there wasn’t much to do because I lived in the suburbs and didn’t travel much into the city of RVA itself, but once I started exploring the city on my own as an adult, it made a world of difference.  However, I think I was pushed to be even more creative as a kid because I wasn’t surrounded by the creativity and art of the city very much.

2. Why did you decide to start your own blog?

I’ve loved fashion ever since I was a little girl.  I used to put on fashion shows for my family after I bought something at the store.  I wanted to be in fashion merchandising in college, but never got the opportunity, so I had to find other outlets.  I started my Instagram almost four years ago and watched it grow, but somewhere around the second year, I realized I wanted to do more than share “OOTDs” so I started my blog to share not only my style but also talk about important topics like mental health and body positivity.

3. What’s the most important about creating your blog articles and why?

For me, it’s being personal with my readers.  I never want to seem like I have some unattainable lifestyle and I’m this unreachable, untouchable person who’s completely unreal or impractical.  I’m real, I’m human, I make mistakes and have lots of life challenges and I’m definitely relatable.

4. What would you like to try on your blog in the near future?

I’d love to add more travel to my blog, as well as more lifestyle & home decor.

5. What do you like to do for recreation and can you tell us why you like it?

Haha well I blog for recreation as much as for business, but when I’m not solely focusing on my content, I love visiting new coffee shops and other cafes in my city with my boyfriend.  I also love just sitting and binge-watching superhero shows and movies (not-so-secret nerd over here).

6. What is your favorite event/place to visit in Virginia and why?

There’s a beautiful cafe in Richmond called Whisk that I love with all my heart.  The atmosphere is so bright and cheery and they serve these giant French macarons that always taste beyond delicious.  If not there than definitely the rooftop bar at Quirk Hotel.  It’s all pink and white goodness and the views of the city + drinks are to die for!

7.  What is your favorite quote to live by?

"She thought she could and so she did" makes me feel empowered.  It's a beautiful thing to know that anything I set my mind to, I am capable of achieving.  It has helped me reach my dreams numerous times to just keep this mindset!

8. What does "live your color" mean to you?

I’m a naturally colorful person, not only in the way that I dress, but also with my personality.  I’m vibrant and outgoing (most of the time) and love to express myself fully.  I think that living my color applies to every aspect of my life, whether it’s bringing color into someone’s dark day or just putting on a yellow dress because it’s cheerful and brings me joy!
